Voter registration deadline
Tuesday, October 13, 2026Register online or with a paper form. County registration offices hold evening hours, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., on the deadline day.
Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1, 2026Each county picks its own early voting sites. Sites are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. No appointment is needed.
Tuesday, October 27, 2026Your application must be received by your county clerk by this date. After that, you can apply in person at the county clerk's office until 3 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026.
Monday, November 9, 2026, by 8 p.m.Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and received by your county board of elections by 8 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2026. Drop boxes and in-person returns to the board of elections close at 8 p.m. on Election Day. Mail ballots can't be returned at early voting sites or polling places.

Every paid political ad is labeled "Paid political advertisement" and carries the buyer's "Paid for by" line. Campaigns and committees from any side can buy one at the same published rates, and that includes people I've criticized.
I can turn down an ad that's false or hateful, or one made to look like an official election notice. Each political ad I accept goes in the public ledger below with the buyer, the committee or FEC ID, the amount and the run dates.
